Our 36th Port St. John Christmas Parade will take place on Saturday, December 20 at 11 a.m. The parade route will be along Fay Blvd., starting at Waterloo Ave. and go east to Carole Ave. in the eastbound lane. The floats face the south side of Fay Blvd., so viewing will be best on the sidewalk on the south side. The theme of this year’s parade will be, “A Winter Wonderland.”
Fay Blvd. will be closed from Waterloo Ave. to Carole Ave. from 11:00 until 12:30 when the parade ends.
A HUGE THANK YOU to our Prime Sponsor, Parrish Medical Center, our Diamond sponsors, Freedom Air & Plumbing, HAPPENINGS, Higginbotham Companies and Orion Connectivity, and our Platinum sponsor, Englemann State Farm Insurance. We are not government operated or funded. These companies make the parade possible, along with the other sponsors and our amazing volunteers who work to make the parade happen.
There will be candy at the parade this year! Please be thoughtful of the residents along Fay Blvd. and do not litter their yards with candy wrappers and cups. Bring a bag for your youngsters’ treasure troves of candy and/or trash, it helps a lot.
Any questions, suggestions, problems or needs should be directed to Jeremy Higginbotham, 321-576-2818 or Jhigginbotham@orionconnectivity.com or Jamie Hermes, 321-271-7161.
There are other holiday events inside, so look for the Knights of Columbus Christmas Tree Sale, Meet Santa at the PSJ Library, Light Up Port St. John, the Cookie Walk, holiday worship services, the Holiday Bike Parade in Cocoa Village and more. And of course, the holiday parade schedule for other parades here in Brevard County is inside.
The Port St. John Community Foundation and HAPPENINGS wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Good Kwanzaa and joy, good health and peace to your family.
