On June 11th, Canaveral Groves Inc. held a "meet your candidates" night at Brevard Christian Church. The candidates for District 1 were there. I wish more people had shown because this is a very important election. This election is due to Katie Delaney leaving her position early.
The election is August 18th for School Board and other positions. Please research your candidates before you vote.
There have been a couple of serious injuries and fights out by the black hole. With this happening, its creates more chances for it to be shut down. If you are going out there, please be careful and respect each other. You also need to be more careful on public streets.
Remember - when the burn ban is ended, there will still be chances of fire and lightning strikes due to the dry conditions.
Just for information, to the person who mowed down the street signs on Canaveral Groves Blvd. and other places, it is a criminal offense. If there is an accident, the penalties and fines can be enhanced to include large fines and jail time.
