Coffee-Ground Dinosaur Egg Activity: July 6, 10:00 a.m. Ages 3 and up.

Brevard County Sheriff’s Office Canine Unit: July 13, 10:00 a.m. Ages 3 and up.

Foam Party: July 20, 10:00 a.m. All ages welcome. Dress in clothes that can get messy and wear shoes. This is a weather-permitting event.

Brevard Zoo: Habitats for Survival: July 1, 3:00 & 4:00 p.m. Ages 6 and up.

Fossil Talk with Mr. Celli: July 8, 3:00 p.m. Ages 6-12.

Mr. Richard’s Sing-A-Long: July 15, 3:00 p.m. All ages welcome.

Frozen Dinosaur Activity: July 22. 3:00 p.m. Ages 3 and up.

Summerween Party: July 29, 3:00 p.m. All ages welcome.

WEEKLY EVENTS:

Game Day: Sundays, 1:00–4:00 p.m. Board, tabletop and card games in the main library area. All ages welcome. Adult supervision required at all times.

Kids’ D&D: Sundays, 3:00 & 3:30 p.m. A staff-led, tabletop role-playing adventure where players create characters, roll dice and collaboratively tell a fantasy story for children ages 8–13. Space is limited; kids will be split into parties of five for 30-minute sessions. Adult supervision required at all times.

Family Movie Night: Mondays. 4:00–6:00 p.m. Have fun watching G or PG-rated movies. Popcorn is provided. All ages welcome. Adult supervision required.

Beginners' Chess: Saturday, July 4, 10:00 –11:00 a.m. A program for kids ages 6–12 to learn the basics of chess in a no-pressure environment. Adult supervision required.

Brick Builders: Tuesdays, 4:00-5:00 A free building session play event for ages 6-12, featuring building bricks and blocks. Adult supervision required.

Summer Feed and Read: Fridays, 3:00-5:00 p.m. Stop by the library to pick up a free, nutritious meal pack and a book! These resources are available to local youth every Friday at the Youth Services Desk. No pickup on 7/3.

Read Your Way to K:

Little Laptime: Tuesdays, 9:30–10:00 a.m. Short stories and nursery rhymes for babies ages 1 and under. Adult supervision required.

Little Movers & Groovers: Thursdays and Fridays, 9:30–10:00 a.m. A fun movement program for toddlers five and under. Adult supervision required. No class on 7/3.

Toddler Story Time: Thursdays & Fridays, 10:30–11:00 a.m. For children ages 3–5. Adult supervision required. No class on 7/3.

Playdate: Thursdays & Fridays, 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. For babies and toddlers five and under. Adult supervision required. No class on 7/3.

Spanish Bilingual Story Time: Tuesday, July 21, 10:00-10:30 a.m. Join us for a fun and educational event! Children will learn basic Spanish vocabulary, sing songs, make a craft, and listen to stories in English and Spanish. This event is for ages 3-5, and adult supervision is required.

TEENS

Teen Chess Club: July 18th 10:00 –11:00 a.m. Designed for ages 13–17, Chess Club offers a relaxed, non-competitive space for teens to play friendly chess matches. Adult supervision required.

Teen D & D: July 11 & 25, 3:00 –4:45 p.m. A staff-led, beginner-friendly tabletop role-playing adventure where players create characters, roll dice and collaboratively tell a fantasy story. This event is for ages 13-17. Adult supervision required.

Adult and Family Programs

Book Worms Book Club: July 1, 6:30 p.m. Join the group for a lively discussion of The 57 Bus by Dashka Slater. Pick up August’s title Killing the SS by Bill O'Reilly & Martin Dugard.

Community Support Advocate will be at the Port St. John Public Library. The community support advocate assists with housing, SNAP, social security, healthcare and insurance, and senior resources. Appointments and walk-ins are accepted. See the Reference desk for details.

Garden Program: July 9 & 16, 2 p.m. Week one Thursday, July 9. Create your own air dry clay garden accessories. Week two Thursday, June 16. Bring in your creations to paint and decorate. This is a family event ages 6 and up adult supervision required.

DIY Wind Chimes: July 11, 1:30 p.m. Make and paint your own wind chimes. Supplies provided. This is a family event ages 6 and up adult supervision required. One kit per family. First come first served.

Port Readers Book Club: July 15, 6:30 p.m. At this meeting, we will discuss Monkey Business by Carl Hiaasen, and then pick up the book for August: The Buffalo Hunter Hunter by Stephen Graham Jones.

Adult Dice and Dragon: July 18. 3 p.m. Roll the dice on an adventure of a lifetime!

Beginner Ukulele Class: July 21, 1 p.m. Join us for a beginner ukulele class. We will be learning how to play 'Hakuna Matata'. There are eight ukuleles available. The class is first come first served or bring your own. Ages five and up with adult supervision.

Mandala Rock Painting: July 23, 4 p.m. Come and create your very own painted rock with the supplies provided. First come first served. Ages 12 and up. Adult supervision required.

Book Bedazzle: July 29, 6 p.m. Bring in a book you own or purchase one from the Friend of the Library and bling out the cover at the library.

Yarn Group: Fridays, 1 p.m. Yarn Group of PSJ Library is a group of adults who enjoy knitting and crocheting. They are happy to help you learn. All levels are welcome. They donate projects and meet every Friday at the Port St. John Public Library from 1 p.m.
