Fire up your appetite—The Sharing Center of Central Brevard is thrilled to present the 11th Annual Amateur Backyard BBQ Contest!
Join us on April 11 at F. Burton Smith Park, 7575 W. King St. (Hwy. 520) in Cocoa from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for a day packed with incredible food, family fun and friendly competition.

BBQ teams from across the county will battle it out for the title of Champion Griller in three delicious categories: beef, pork and chicken. Every team will offer samples of their best BBQ and you get to choose the People’s Choice Champion Griller! While the competitors work their magic at the grills, guests can relax, enjoy the sunshine, grab great food and cold drinks, and listen to live music.

All proceeds support The Sharing Center’s hunger relief initiatives, including:

Children's Weekend Feeding Program – providing nutritious weekend meals to families with school aged children.
Emergency Food Program – distributing thousands of pounds of food each month to individuals and families in need.
Community Kitchen Program – serving meals to the hungry 365 days a year.

Registration Info:
Tickets are $20, which includes event entry, one BBQ dinner, and team sampling. Guests can also enjoy live music by Classic Jurassic, enter 50/50 raffles, and compete for great prizes—including a Traeger Pellet Smoker!
Tickets go on sale February 16th at the following locations:
- Sharing Center Thrift Store – 113 Aurora Street, Cocoa
- Jennifer Neuman Dicandio’s Allstate Insurance – 950 Fay Blvd., Port St. John
- Sharing Center Thrift Store – 95 E. Merritt Island Causeway, Merritt Island
Tickets will also be sold at the gate on the day of the event.
