Four Communities Fire Department Turns 75 Years Old!

Please everyone, remember that Four Communities Fire Department is celebrating 75 years of service to the community on October 10th. starting at 10 a.m. and continuing until 2 p.m. All are invited for Touch-a-Truck, games, fire department demonstrations and food trucks.
First, I want to thank Brevard County for changing the light sequence at Grissom Pkwy. and Canaveral Groves Blvd. There seems to be some confusion. You can only make a left-hand turn when the green light and arrow are on. You can still make a right on red after a complete stop. This pertains to both East and West directions. The new timing and change of lights seems to be helping the traffic conditions on Canaveral Groves Blvd.
On Adamson Rd. and State Rd 524, the county has been surveying, but I’m unsure at this time of why. I have asked and not been informed yet.
One of the main reasons there are so many accidents there is because people coming off of Adamson Rd. are pulling onto State Rd 524 without completely looking and waiting for the oncoming traffic. Some of the problem is vehicles in the turn lane that are blocking the line of sight with vehicles continuing west-bound and that is when accidents happen in the middle of the intersection. So please, be more careful.
Brevard County Fire Station 29 is responding to a lot of calls in the area, so please watch out for them and yield to their vehicles when responding.
The United States Weather Bureau is saying we may have a wetter than normal winter, so please make sure your drainage ditches are clear and free from debris. If any drainage ditches are damaged, please call the Brevard County Road and Bridge Division at 321-264-5084, Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m.
Also, a quick reminder, it is against the law to post anything on a telephone pole or street sign. It also makes the area look trashy.
