St. Patrick's Anglican Church - October 2026

|

October has arrived, bringing with it the beginning of fall—even if Florida doesn’t always cooperate with cooler temperatures! It’s another busy month at St. Patrick’s, filled with opportunities to worship, learn, enjoy fellowship and reach out to our community.
We begin the month with our First Friday Family Fun Night on Friday, October 2 from 6:00–8:00 p.m. These evenings are all about simply spending time together. Bring the family, invite a friend and come enjoy a relaxed evening of food, fun, fellowship and activities. You don’t have to be a member of St. Patrick’s to join us—everyone is welcome.
Saturday, October 3 at 10:00 a.m. we’ll gather in front of the church for our annual Blessing of the Pets. Our pets are wonderful members of our families and this is always a joyful morning as we give thanks to God for His creation and the animals that bring so much companionship into our lives.
On Tuesday, October 6 from 9:30–11:30 a.m. our Grandparents Raising Grandchildren group will meet. Raising children for a second time can bring unique joys as well as challenges. This gathering offers grandparents a place for encouragement, conversation, friendship and support with others who understand the journey. Please feel free to share this ministry with someone in our community who might benefit from it.
Sunday worship remains at the center of everything we do, with Holy Communion each Sunday at 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. Adult Education meets at 9:00 a.m. where Fr. Michael continues our study of The Gospel of Matthew.
Our Student Sunday School also continues its journey through The Saints. During October, our students will meet St. Benedict of Nursia, St. George, St. Francis of Assisi and St. Margaret of Scotland. Through Scripture, stories, discussion, journaling, crafts and hands-on activities, they are discovering how Christians throughout the centuries have lived out their faith in very different circumstances.
During the week, join us for our Wednesday evening service at 6:00 p.m., a welcome opportunity to step away from a busy week for worship and prayer.
And if you enjoy cards—or have always wanted to learn—our Thursday Bridge Group meets from 1:00–3:00 p.m. All levels are welcome, from complete beginners to experienced players. There’s always room for another person at the table!
Our Ladies Fellowship & Craft Group gathers on Monday, October 19 from 6:00–8:00 p.m. with a light dinner provided. Bring whatever you’re working on—or simply bring yourself—and enjoy an evening of creativity, conversation, laughter and fellowship.
We’ll finish October on Saturday, October 31 at 9:00 a.m. with our Veterans, Veteran Spouses, Veteran Families & First Responders Breakfast. It is a privilege to open our doors and gather around the table with those who have served our country and our community.
There is a lot happening this October, but every event has something important in common: people coming together. Whether it is around the altar, a classroom table, a craft project, a deck of cards or breakfast, these moments help strengthen the relationships that make St. Patrick’s a parish family.
