Friends of the Library FALL FESTIVAL
Saturday, October 10, 10 a.m. Celebrate all things fall at the library with a book sale, bake sale, silent disco, temporary tattoos, crafts and more in this Friends of the Library sponsored event. This event for all ages.
YOUTH SERVICES
Teen Takeover: Junk Journaling: 10/14 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. Ages 13-17.
Sensory Playtime: Tuesdays, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Ages 3 and up.
Tabletop Game Night: Tuesdays, 5:00-6:00 p.m. All ages.
Family Movie: Mondays, 4:00-6:00 p.m. All ages.
Read Your Way to K:
Little Laptime: Mondays, 9:30-10:00 a.m. Class will begin at 10:00 a.m. Ages 0-1.
Little Movers & Groovers: Thursdays and Fridays, 9:30-10:00 a.m. Ages 0-5.
Toddler Story Time: Thursdays and Fridays, 10:30-11:00 a.m. Ages 3-5.
Playdate: Thursdays and Fridays, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Ages 0-5.
ADULTS
Yarn Group: Fridays in October, 1 - 3:30 p.m. The yarn group is a group of adults who enjoy knitting and crocheting. They are happy to help you learn. All levels are welcome. They donate projects and meet every Friday at the Port St. John Public Library.
Book Worms Book Club: Wednesday, October 7, 6:30 p.m. Join the group for a lively discussion of Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. Pick up the November book at the reference desk.
North Brevard Public Library Advisory Board: October 8, 10 a.m. Public meeting. North Brevard Public Library Advisory Board shall serve in an advisory capacity to the Board of County Commissioners and the Director of Library Services.
Cards with a Purpose: Tuesday, October 13, 1 p.m. Make a custom personal card as well as a card for charity to brighten someone’s day. This group meets the second Tuesday of each month. This program is designed for adults.
Community Support Advocate: Mondays, October 12 and 26, 1:30 – 5 p.m. The Community Support Advocate assists with housing, SNAP, social security, healthcare and insurance, and senior resources. Appointments and walk-ins are accepted. See the Reference desk for details.
Port Readers Book Club: Wednesday, October 21, 6:30 p.m. At this meeting, we will discuss The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton. Pick up the November Book Club selection, Salt: A World History by Mark Kurlansky at the reference desk.
